Tiffany jars with see-through lids — find things at a glance

The point of a clear lid is simple: you can see what is inside without opening anything. Tiffany jars are fully transparent from cap to base, which is why they work so well on an open shelf or in a deep cupboard where you would otherwise be lifting lids one by one.

The range covers 180 ml to 2700 ml, most sets come with a spoon, and the round bodies stack securely. Six-piece sets start at Rs.310; the 18-piece mixed sets combine 300 ml, 500 ml and a larger size for a whole shelf in one go.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes do Tiffany jars come in?

From 180 ml up to 2700 ml — 180, 200, 300, 500, 1000, 1400, 1700 and 2700 ml. Sets of 6 use a single size; sets of 12 and 18 mix sizes so you can set up a full shelf at once.

Do Tiffany jars come with spoons?

Most of the sets include a spoon that sits inside the jar, which is useful for sugar, coffee, spices and dry fruits.

Are Tiffany jars airtight?

The caps screw down against a seal to keep moisture out, which is what stops haldi and dhania clumping in humid weather and keeps biscuits and namkeen crisp. They are made for dry storage rather than for carrying liquids.

Can Tiffany jars go in the dishwasher?

No. Tiffany jars are made from PET, which is not dishwasher-safe — dishwasher heat clouds and warps it. Wash by hand in warm soapy water and they will stay clear for years.

Which jar size suits which ingredient?

As a rough guide: 200-300 ml for spices and dry fruits, 500 ml for tea, coffee and sugar, 1000-1400 ml for pulses and cereals, and 1700-2700 ml for atta, rice and bulk staples. Tiffany jars have a round, narrower neck, so they suit free-flowing dry goods — for large flat items like papad, choose a wide-mouth Martaban or oval jar instead.
